About us

Where it all started? 

On 6th August 2025, the Czech-Xishuangbanna Tea Association, s.r.o. (also known as “CZEXITEAS”) was officially established in Prague. This organization serves as a public-research platform dedicated to facilitating international puer tea trade, conducting comprehensive analyses of various aspects of Xishuangbanna Tea Culture, and actively raising public awareness about the Xishuangbanna tea industry in Europe. In addition, it elaborates Czech tea culture and provides the foundation for cultural exchanges between Czech tea-related institutions and Xishuangbanna Tea Industry Association (西双版纳州茶业协会).

Unlike other tea associations in Europe, we are focusing on filling information gaps regarding of the Czech and Xishuangbanna tea culture, particularly in context of geography, history, environmental management, tea terminology, social-cultural antropology, tea technology, etc. In addition, we are providing summaries, reviews, commentaries and other research inputs based on academic litearture, publicly-available secondary sources, field research trips and interviews with tea-related multi-stakeholders. The CZEXITEAS is primarily intended for researchers and public, yet, it also provides various services for various tea producers, tea farmers and other tea bussiness companies interested in the Xishuangbanna teas.

Our mission

  1. Developing systematic tea research focused on various aspects of the tea industry and tea tourism in the Xishuangbanna in the European Union;

  2. Strengthening mutual cooperation, trust, and active communication between governmental, non-governmental, and other organizations engaged in the production, inspection, transportation, and sale of teas from the Xishuangbanna region;

  3. Participating in the co-development of legislation, technical regulations, and standards related to the production, distribution, and certification of teas from the Xishuangbanna;

  4. Monitoring current trends in tea markets in the Xishuangbanna and share up-to-date information regarding of the international tea trade;

  5. Facilitating the networking with various tea institutions and tea-related associations;

  6. Organizing educational events, certified courses, international conferences, and other public activities to raise the public awareness about Xishuangbanna;

  7. Increasing transparency about tea producers, tea institutions, trading companies, and other legal entities from the Xishuangbanna.
